Anzac Day Arrangements In District
Arrangements for the observance of Anzac Day in the district have now been announced. A service will be held at Ohau at 10 a.m., conducted by Rev. H. S. Kings, and at Koputaroa at the same time by Rev. A. Salmond. The Levin service, which commences in the Regent Theatre at 2.30 p.m.,> will be preceded by a parade to the Cenotaph, where wreaths will be lald. There will be no- service 'at the. Cenot^h^ this year. The order of parade and details;.pf,-,the Jeryice. at the Regent Theatiie/ 'Wilf later.'1 At the conclusion of the" function, returned service personriel on parade will be invited to adjourn to the R.S.A. club •rooms, in Oxford Street, where hot coffee will be served by the entertainment committee. It is hoped by the committee that many returned- men will take this opportunitv of renewing old acquaintances. The district schools will observe Anzac Day.on the Friday morning. Horowhenua College pupils will be addressed by Mr. H. B. Burdekin.
