Coxon Rose Bowl Bowling

Six rinks journeyed to Castlecliff (Wanganui) from Otaki Railway Club at the weekend to play for the Coxon Rcse Bowl and although they suft'ered defeat by four games to two, the result was in the balance till the final head. The points in favour of Castlecliff were 123 to 118. At the conclusion of play Mr. Frank Rule, president of the Otaki Railway Club, in a neat speech, warmiy complimented the home team on their success and thankedthem for the hospitality extended. Although a most pleasant day was spent on the Paraparaumu Club's green on Saturday, seven of the eight Otaki rinks were beaten. Merwood's was the only successful four. The points are -not available. Mr. Crowley was the winner of the prize donated by the Otaki Club.
