School Fair for Library Fund
In order to raise funds for the establishment -of a school library, a fair will be held in the .school grounds next Friday. There are to be stalls for produce, cakes and sweets, ice cream and soft drinks, book stalls ' dhd juffiblF stalls — in fact, everything which goes to make a fair a place of gaiety. Parents of the children have indicated their willingness to contribute generously to stocking the; Various stalls to capacity, while the children themselves dremaki'hg a grand effort and have alfeady brought along toys . and other articles for the stalls, ; - • A bottle drive condu'cted last week realised over £6, and that sum is likely to be increased by further saies. The fair will provide a variety of entertainment such as miniature golf, competitions and games, while the tearooms will be open from noon. Given favourable weather, the fair should be an outstanding success and, as the cause is a worthy one, it is hopd that the public of the district will make an effort to visit the school at some part of the day on Friday.
