WANGANUI, Feb. 22. Several Centre reeorcls were broken at the 1948 West Uoast (North lsland) •Centre open athletic championships held at Cook's Gardens on Saturday afteruoou auil eveuing. Kruse (New Plymouth) won the ladies' high jump witli 4xt. 9 lin., a record. Ln the thr&e miles and six miles events, W. J. Wells, of Stratford, won with ease.
