(From "Chronicle" Correspondent) The Paraparaumu W.D.F.U. held its first meeting of the year ,in the Anglican Hall. presided over by Mrs. Harris. There was a good attendance. The competition for the best flowe'r was won by Mrs. G. Campbell, *with Mrs. Potts second, and Mrs. Hercock third. The competition for the best shrub was won by Mrs. Howell.Afternoon tea was served and the meeting conclude*d with the singing of the National Anthem. Rev. and- Mrs. Rickells, who have been spending a holiday in Christchurch, have returned home.
