AUCKLAND, Feb. 17. "I know it is the rule of Rotary to get beiiind ivorthy objects and movements and I have always regretted this because I believe Rotgry should lead," said the Mayor of Anekland, Mr. J. A._G. Allum, opening the second annual 52nd District conference oi Rotary Clubs. "I find many people vvilling to get behind a niovement but not so many villing to lead and i would like to see Rotary reconsider its role," he said. Mr. Allum spoke on the principle of Rotary, "service above self."
