Cr. D. j. S'weetzer wondered .whether it could be "combined as a, "beauty spot and parking area. He' said he thought the council had a moral obligation to the Beautifying Society to develop it as a beauty spot.
It was most necessary to. have furthem. parking space handy to the to'wh, commented 'Cr. W. Tel-' ■ ford. Be thought it would be a mistake for "the council to give the area over to a "ross' garden." The Mayor, Mr. «H. B. Burdekin, said * there were several streets within two minutes walk of the: 'town which would soon be completed. They would provide much more parking space 'than would be a'vailable in the triangle. "We have more than enough parking space arouhd the town for .the next 50 years," remarked Cr. F. 'D. Chainey. The rouncil then reached the decision stated,,
