Boy's Murder Charged On Step-father
CHBISTCHURCH, Feb. 16. Inquiries into the d-eath of Leslie James Boswell, aged 31 years, had been advanced a further stage under the supervision of" Inspeetor T. E. Holmes, of the deteetive branch, said Mr. H. Scott, Ruperintendent of * Police, this evening. Late this atternoon a warrant to apprehend WillTam Erie Cooper on a eharge of the murder of his step-son at Clifton, Sumner, on the afternoon of Fe„bruary 9, was issued by Mr. H. P. Lawry, S.M. Cooper was subsequentiy charged by Senior Deteetive J. Brady and Sergeant A. Grant. He will appear in the Magistrate's Court tomorrow on the eharge and a remand will be appiiea for. Cooper is at present in eustody on another eharge.
