ARGENTINE SQUADRON SAILS.
Received Monday, 7.0 p.m. LONDON, Feb. 16.v The latest development in tlic dispute between Britain and- the Argentine over the sovereignty of the Falkland Islands, is the news from Buenos Aires that two Argentine criiisers, the AlmiranteBrown and the Demayo, with several siualler craft, have sailed for the Falklands and Antaretie territories under dispute. The only British naval ship at present in Falklands waters is the 1400ton sloop Snipe. Argentine hypersensitivity on this subject is indieated by a report from Buenos Aires that the Argentine Government recently' refused to accept delivery of "a cahle because on the map of the world at the top.of the eable form, the islands were given the name ' of Falklands and not Malvinas which is the' name alwavs employed hy the Argentine. As a result tlie eable eompany had, to §crap all its eable f'orms and print new ones. The Argentine naval " squadron is believed to be bound for- Melchoir in the South Orkneys and Deception Island in .the So.uth Shetlands where the - Argentine has'estahlished bases and meteogor . logieal stations, ; .
