Foxton Harbour Boards Rate Levy
- At yesterday's meeting of tlie Manawatu County .Council- a letter from the Minister.of Marine in reply to the , Council 's protest against the action of the Foxton Harbour Board in striking a rate over local bodies within its area for interest purposes, etc., 'on loans whilst the Board had ample funds from ■ endowmeuts to meet these ch^rges. The l«tter stated that au enquirv was being | instituted and that the Council would be further communicated with as early as possible. "I trust they won't leave it too long," stated the chairman (Mr. K. Craig). . ,
