The Communists faiied in an attempt to hinder the election of Presiclent ap.d Vice-Presidont and resignod -all thi: Assembly 's oftices. Tliey . inaintaxn however, tliat the Assembly 's proceed ings were illegal and observers predict a widening breach between the Communists and tlie rest when the Assembly meets again on January 26.
