REFRESHER COURSES FOR SCHOOL TEACHERS
WELLINGTON, Jan. 16.' Commencing riext Thursday, a series of refresher courses for teachers will be held in the Roitth lsland. A course for sole and head teachers of smtill country primary schools will be held in Dunedin. Courses for post-primary, commercia! ahd geography teachers will be held at Oamaru and one for woodworlc instructors at Christchurch. The courses will last one week. Rimilar courses for North.' lsland teachers had been planned at Auckland an'd New Plymouth, with a Dominion course for arts and crafts specia'lists at Feilding. However, it was officially stated today that it had been decided,. following receipt of certain advice from the Health Dbpartmeut,. 'to postpone the North lsland courses'. It is lioped, howOver, to hold the North lsland courses it an early date.
