A rcporl that a 17-year-old youth is to be appbinted the Yugoslav consula.agent in the Domiuion by Dr. Grruiea Zarkovic, Yugoslav Consul-General m Sydney. is circalatpig among Yugoslavs in Auckland. The older mcmbers oi the Yugoslav coxumunity expressed strong opposition to such an appoiut uxent and some said they would protesi to the Yugoslav Embassy in London and to the Governor-General of Nev Zealand, Sir Bernard Freyberg, V.C., lt necessary. After a visit of just under a month, Dr. Zarkovic will leave Auckland by ilying boat on liis return to Sydney tomorrow morning.. He was not availabl-' tonight to conflrm the report that h" had appointed a Yugoslav, of. Penrose, Auckland, as his agent in New Zealand. With the Auckland Yugoslav community split into two factions, the nou political Yugoslav Club and the proMarshal Tito Yugoslav Assoc.iation, the purpose of Dr. Zarkovic 's visit arouse'i |a good deal of speeulation.
