'The grants are intended for those who al present occupy or have been appoiuted to posts in considerable infiuence and whose level of recognised attainment is such that they niay be expected-to derive a clear benelit from carefully planned travei and study in other countries and to retur-n to their [iosts mforined and invigorated. The corporation will be particularly inLeresteil, for the present, in assisting tiiose "key individuals" whose work in teaching research oi' administ ration is priinanly concerned with soine of the more pressing problems of hunian relationships. Jt is considered that such pcrsons will be most frequently found in the lields of law, CTOverninenl econoruics, political science, sociologoy, and international all'airs, as well as history aud anthropology in their current, social iinplications, and education -in its broader aspects. The number of grants in any one year will depend not only upon the i'unds available, but also upon the character of the applications aud the signiiicance of the plans submitted.
