SHANNON PLUNKET SOCIETY

DECEMBER MEETING Mrs. L. W. Wilson presided over the December meeting of the Shannon sub-branch of the Plunket Society, when the following ihembers of the committee were present: Mesdames L. W. Wilson (president), C. Tremewan (secretary), R. Edmonds, R. R. Lind, F. Denton, R. J. Miers and W. Tricker During the course of the routine business it was agreed that the president contact a plumber and have the tap and drainpipe in the rooms repaire'd It was also agreed that while the infantile paralysis precautions are being observed, visits to the rooms be by appointment. Mi'ss E. Roach had kindly oifered to have the appointment book placed in her shop for the convenience of mothers wishing to make> appointments. The thanks of the committee was extended to Miss Roach for her assistance. The nurse's report for November was received, and was as follows: Four visits had been made to Shannon during the month and eight visits were made to homes. Sixtyone adults an'd sixty-one babies had visited the rooms and one preschool child. It was advised that during the vacation period of Miss Hight, Miss Norris was the relieving nurse. Following the eompletion of the business, the opportunity was taken to hang the curtains which Mrs.. Wilson had made for the rooms. The gathering concluded with Mrs. Wilson extending the season's greetings to those of her committee present.
