MANAWATU SENIOR b DEFEAT HORO WHENUA In tlie first game of the newly organised competitiou betweep Senior B reprsentatives of varioun neighbouring cricket a.ssociations, played at the Sportsground on Katurilay Manawa,tu beat 11 oro whenua by 29 runs on the iirst imlings. Tlie visitors batted first and were reasonably subdued by a well-varied bowling attack in which Nelson scored the leading success with three wickets for 15 runs. in repiy Manawaru began strongiy but the taii failed to wag and thev were lueky to serape home.
