GIRLS' MARCHING POSTPONED

CENTRE CHAMPIONSHIPS TO BE DECIDED LATER Owing to the spread of •infantile jparalysis to the Wellington health district and the ban on children iunder 16 years of age attending functions, the Manawatu. Marching Centre has postponed its championships, which were to haye been held -in Palmerston North on Satnrday. They will now be held w^en the restrictions are lifted. Arrangements will go forward to make the champlonship day one of the most spectacular seen in tne .Noiith Island. It is likely that 100 teams will take part in the marches and mass6d displays. The Horowhenua Marching Association has cancelled all its functions until further notice. The dance to ihaye been held in Levin on December 20 has now been abandoned.
