SOCIAL AFTERNOON
MISSIONARY BODIES MEET The members of the St. John's Methodist Women's Missionary Auxiliary reeently entertained the members of the Presbyterian Wom--en's Missionary Union. The function, over which Mrs. H. S. Kings presi'ded, was held in the Methodist pible Class rpoms. An interesting and varied programme was enjoyed by all. .Vocal solos were contribpted by Mrs. n, Harrington and Miss M- Irving, and humorous recitations by Mrs, Hale. Competitions were won .by Mesdaihes Hutton, Haryey, Salmond .and Miss Anderson. Mrs, Hutton was the accompaniste for the solpists. After afternoon tea, Mrs. A. Salmond voic.ed the thanks of the guests, and .said that although the Presbyterian missionary work was carried on in different fields, the aims and .objects were the same as those of the Methodist Church. The pronouncing the Benediction brought the happy gathering to a close.
