Elaborate preparations to blow open the safe of the Lower Hutt post ofHce were abandoned shortly after 4 o'cloek this fnorning when the Imilding was visited by a police patrol ear. CHARGED AND REMANDED As a sequel to the police discovery of two intruders in the Lower Hutt post ofRce at 4 o'clock on Sunday morning, Roy Vincent, 31, barman and barber, and Robt. Spring, 21, labourer, appeared in the Magistrate's Court this morning charged with breaking and entering the counting house of the Lower Hutt post office. They were remanded to December 16. Bait was refused.
