COMMERCIAL ASSOCIATION'S ! DISCUSSION A meeting of the Otaki Commer- ! cial Association was held on Wed- I nesday night, Mr. W. McBeth pre-j siding. The matter of the camp at! Tasman Beach was considered. It> was agreed that little couid be done j this season, hui it was hoped ! improvemenls would take place at! no distant date. It was hoped to! combine with the Borough Counciij to eft'ect iniprovements, while a | suggestion that the association givt'r monetary help was supported. . It was decided to ask that 1 iimprovements be effected between : the beaches and the town so that ! residents would have better facilities for shopping. It was siated that the War Memorial Committee was arrang- j xiig i/O hold a gaia day on January ! 2, and the assistance of the asso- • ciation was solicited. It was stat-j ed that there would be various side i shows, etc., and it was expected ! that the day would be made a. memorable one. it was agreed to ' 'give the project support. , The question of the holiday > period was bi'iefly discussed.
