Received Sunday, 9. 50 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 30. The Roman Catholic Archbishop of Westminster (Dr. Griffin) in a pastoral letter for Advent says: 4 ' The Church condemns Communism mainly hecause, not satisfied with denying God's existence and man's duty to Him, it attempts to-put itself m God's place and dares to claim complete power over the bodies and niinds of its subjects under a promise of some future earthly paradise. ' 4 It is tliis to which secularism and materialism will lead Britons irnless they return to God and their duties to Him."
