DEFENCE RIFLE SHOOTING
LEVIN CLUB COMMENCES ITS COMPETITIONS The Levin Defence Rifle Club commenced the competition series on Saturday. Conditions were fair, though at times a changing light gave some elevation trouble. The three highest handicap tdtals returned were by P. R. Catley and S. L. Lumsden (98.75 each) and A. M. Martin (98.74) . Individual scores and totals at 300 yards were: P. R. Catley 48—47 —95, S. L. Lumsden 48 — 47—95, R. R. Rolston 47—47—94, R. G. Gurney 45—47—92, F. J. Graham 43— 45—88, F. Catley 46—42—88, M. G. Bishop 42 — 44 — 86, A. L. Lumsden 46 — 40 — 86, P. L. Humphrey 41 — 44 —85, S. C. Aanensen 41 — 44 — 85, J. L. Graham 41 — 42—84, H A Geange 41—43—84, R. Cole 42—42— 84, K. A. Graham 43 — 41 — 84, Mrs. A. L. Lumsden 45—37—82, A M Martin 36—44—80, A Judd 37—40— 77, W. D. Carle 32—39—71 and L Anyan 34 41 -78. Next Saturday the competition series will be continued at the 500 yard range.
