Bowling Postponed The Olliver Shield bowling match between Otaki and Otaki Railway Clubs, which has been postponed at the-wish of the lat-. ter, will be played on. November 22, when four rinks on each side will compete. Guy Fawke's Celebration Fireworks and fires were the order of the day on Wednesday night, and a large fire at the beach caused considerable attention, residents who did not realise it was Guy Fawkes' Day thinking it was a house ablaze. Rainfall in Otaki During October the total rainfall in Otaki was 6.74 inches. The highest fall was 1.07 inches on the 16th. Rain fell on -20 'days during the month. There were slight earthquakes on the 16th and 26th, while snow fell on the ranges on •the ,29th, but there have been no frosts. The rain days were the highest since 1943. For October of last year the fall was 4.09 inches.
