CHRIST'S TEACHING WORTH ACCEPTING
„ Received Thursday, 12.50 a.m. LONDON, Oct. 29. The Bishop of Birmingham, the Rt. Rev. E. W. Barnes, addressing grammar school girls at Birmingham, said: "If men ask you to reject the truths of science hecause they are in opposition to old beiiei's, refuse their goidance aud hold last to your scientific mheritance. It is your birthright but hold equally to your reiigious ncritage whieh made the nation great. ' ' Men nau -elt the G-alilean peasant to he so near to God that they calied Him the Son of God and had wandered through the mazes of theology to try to explain Him. Let them forget the theology but read the Gospeis and ask themselves whether Christ's teaching was not worth accepting hecause it was true.
