MUSIC EXAMINATIONS
The results of the practical examinations conducted in Levin on October 17 by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, London, have now been received. The following pupils of Mr. C. H. Olds, of Levin, were successful: — Grade VI pianoforte: Dorothy iSpicer. ' | Grade V pianoforte: Norma Saulibrey (credit) . Grade III . pianoforte: Leslie Wong Shee ' (credit) and Brian Morrison. Grade II pianoforte: Louis Dittmer, Violin: Kere Dickson (distinction) . Grade 1 j>ianof orte : John Avery, , Beverley Bowker and Maurice Wong Shee, Preliminar.y. pianoforte: Beverly iBeale, Mary Bleakley, Yvonne iBrown, Leoni Clark, Iris Saulbrey, ! Margaret Taylor and William Taylor. The following, all pupils of Miss M. Fitzherbert, were successful: — Grade V pianoforte: Lavinia Hayfield. Grade II pianoforte: Maurice' Small. Grade 1 pianoforte: Jean Hansen (credit) and Loris Hudson. Preliminary pianoforte : Prudence Crozier and Delmai Read. Josephine Lawry, a pupil of Miss Lawrie, Otaki, passed with credit in the grade III pianoforte. Erica (Dickson, a pupil of the Otaki Con- , vent, gained a pass with credit in !the grade VII pianoforte.
