The Dailv Express says British and Anieriean oil interests plan to build two and possibly three large oil refiner ies in Britain at a total cost of £200,000,000'. Oue cositing £40,000,000 will be on the Thames and another costing nearly as much 011 Southampton Water. This building programme is part of much more extensive plans for increasing Middle East oilsupplies by building new pipe lines from the Iraq and Saudi Arabian oilfields to tho Mediterranean. The Angio-Tranian Oil Company and Anieriean Standard Oil Combine are cooperating in these plans.
