MORE PITS JOIN SCOTTISH COAL STRIKE
Received Thursday, 8.55 a.m. LONDON, Oct. 22. The Scottish coal strike has spread to Lothian and Fife. ' The di.slricts with idle pits are Ayrshire ten, Lanarkshire West 29, Lanarkshire East 17, Lothian five and Fife ix. Many miners consider that an irrespoiisible element in the pits, ino.stly youths,. has too much say in important decisions, say; Router's. The stubbornness of six young repair men, who refused to siart work, upset a majority decision to resume work at one Lanarkshire pit yesterday. Seven hundred men at Blackwood Colliery, Monmouthshire, who st.ruck on October 20, have decided '• > I'eturn immediately.
