As on Tuesday, a central depot #ill be established outside the post Office, opening from 11 a.m. to. 3.30 p.m. Any form pf tirined foods or other suilable gifts which, can be conveniently packed in bulk for sending overseas will be most acceptable. The office of the High .Conimissioner for Great Britain has unetertaken to cable the Ministry of Food in London to ascertain the names of industrial towns in Britain suitable for adoption • by Levin. The Mayor, Mr. H. "B. Burdekin, who made the request while in Wellington on Tuesday, said that this infprmation would probably be available in a few days, and thus the despatch of the parcels would hot be delayed. Oh arrival the food will be sent direct to the town seleeted, said Mr. Burdekin, and will be distributed by the mayor in conjunction with the Red Cross to the most necessitous cases. "Lhis orgariisarion had proved to be quite satisfactory, and donors could rest assured that the food would reach its destination safely.
