WELLINGTON, Oct. 8'. Following the finding of the body of Marie Emily West, 17i— year-old typiste, on the slopes of Mt. Victoria on Sunday the discovery was made — at the post-mortem bv Dr. J. O. Mercer on Monday — that something had been tied around the gi'ri's throat. No conclusions have yet been reached by the police regarding that discovery. Police ofhcials said today that the solv'ing of the mystery of the death of aMrie West will result on the analysis of inquiries by the Large number of detectives engaged' on the case and in co-aperation with the seientists, who are expeeted to play an. important part in the essential research in conaection with the finding of the 30dy.
