" LEVIN CLUB PLANS SEASON'S ACTIVITIES A proposed programme for the 1947-48 season was drawn up at a; meeting of. the .Levin Bowling Cl'ub's committee this week. Dates left open at this stage will be filled as the season progresses. The programme is as under: — November, 1947 : 1st, first match for Bowater Memorial trophy; 3rd., first rounds of singles and pairs championships; 8th., open; 15th., first round of fours championship; 17th., second round of singles; 22'nd., Levin v. Foxton, Quadrangular Shield; 24th., second round of pairs; 29th., second round of fours. December: 1st., third round' of singles; 6th., Levin v. Otaki Railway, R'ose Bowl; 8th., third round of pairs; 13th., Levin v. Central, Quadrangular Shield; 15th., fourth round of singles; 20th., third round 'of fours; 26th., open; 27th., open. January, 1948: 1st. and 2nd., open tournament; 3rd., open; 10th., second match for Bowater Memorial; 12th., fifth rounds of singles and pairs; 17th., fourth round of fours; 24th., open; 26tlp, sixth rounds of singles and pairs; 31st., fifth round of fours.
