DEFENCE CLUB HOLDS .OPENING PRACTICE Over thirty members took part in the Levin Defence Rifle Club's openrng practice on Saturday. Due to the introduction of the Birley target, the scoring was noticeably lower. The new target has a bull which is approximately one-third smaller in area than that used over past seasons. Two new members, Mrs. A. L. Lumsden and Miss C. Hunter, shot well, while J. G. Horn, Junr., P. R. Catley and S. L. Lumsden returned 48's.
