TONDON, October 5. I'rofessoTS and econoiuists who addressed a confercnce of "600 secondary school hoys and girls at the London Scliool of Kconomics were startled by the searching queslions asked by the pupils and by- their knowlegde of current affairs. One 17-vear-old boy asked whether it would not i>o expedie.nt to take ad vantagc of the ^10 per eent. depreciation c.lause in the Bretton- Woods agreement. Others wantctl to know whether the five-day week sliould not be abandoiu'd and wages pegged baek to rclate prollts with prices. Girls in their earlv 'tecns asked searching queslions about the American loau agreemeiit. The boys and girls were diawn from 35 grammar schools and public sdiools. Wlien the cluiirman, Sir Arnoid ; Plant, called for a show of liands from tliose who wished to leave school immediately, the majority were in favour of stayigg on. *
