Accident at Domain A painful accident befell Mr. L. Coulter while assisting to remove the football goal-posts at the domain yesterday morning,. Mr. Coulter had climbed 'the post to unfasten the cross-bar, when the wire holding it gave way and he fell to the ground and fractured his right leg. Medical attention was given on the spot and Mr. Coulter was conveyed to the Palmerston North Hospital by ambulance. One Win in 45 Years Speaking at the presentation of trophies to the Shannon Football Club last Thursday evening, the president of the Horowhenua Rugby Union, Mr. A. Gillespie, congratulated the local club on its long record in rugby football in this district. Mr. • Gillespie said that the Shannon Club had fielded a team every year for 45 years. Although it had only won the senior competition on one occasion in that time, the members had been excellent sportsmen and the Horowhenua Rugby Union was indeed proud of the Shannon team.
