LUNCH HOUR CLOSING

OBJECTIONS BY W.D.F.F. The continued closing in Shannon of the bank and some business premises for the lunch hour period of 12.30 to 1.30 p.m. daily was raised at the September meeting of the Shannon branch of the W.D.F.F: It was felt that as this was a wartime measure it could now be dispensed with, and once again the convenience to the public of all business premises being open throughout the day be reverted to. An instance was cited of a person recently, who, wanting a commodity in a great hurry and finding a Shannon shop closed, went to Levin 'in his car and had his need satisfied at once. It was decided that this' matter be brought before those concerned.
