Christchurch Bridges
It had been said that there were more bridges in Christchurch, if the small footbridges were counted, than in London, said Mr. W. S. MacGibbon, speaking on "Early Christchurch" to the Christchurch Businessmen's Club. An old Christchurch resident had said that the large number of bridges was accounted for by the fact that every Mayor wished to see his name inscribed on one.
