WELLINGTON, Sept. 5. The( New Zealand Federation of Labour intends to get in touch with its secretary, Mr. K. Baxter, now in Melbourne attending a meeting of the Australian Council of Trade Unions, to learn the text of the remarks he is reported to have made in connection with "New Zealand's 40hour, fi ve-day week. ' ' The statement purported to have been made by Mr. Baxter, reads the Federation statement, "does not appear to be in line with the policy and opinion of the New Zbaland Federation of Labour."
