Alty, t-escended upon the house of ' -i railway locomotive drive'r and confiscated a huge quantity" of assorted good§ alleged to have been pillaged over a pel'io'd of time. . The oiily goods of the terrifie hau! so far lctetitified by the police are a. number of golf clubs and golf bags, allegedly . the property of a professional golfer in the city; ahd in the Magistrate's Court this morning, the. railwayiuan, who was apprehended at the* time of the raid, will be charged with the theft of these articles to a total value of £85. The remainder of the goods fully occupy two large-sized rooms at the eentral police station. On a chance visit to the police station early yesterday afternoon a "Times" reporter sa-w a stream of goods sufficient to stoclc a country' store being transferred from a heavily laden three-ton truek into the building. Included in the haul were radio sets, boots, shoes; slippers, gumboots, a number of new j tyres, car rims, ch'ests of tea, suiteases, a Post and Telegraph hamper marked "fragile", blankets, books, wire-netting, groeeries of all descriptions, sports coats, -bolts of material and a host oll other valuable items. "
