AUCKLAND, Sept. 5. rt is understood that as a protest against c,ertain aspects of political Labour 's poliey, the Auckland- Engineers ' Union decided to make no cohtributions to the Labour Party 's cam paign fund for the Mount Albert byelection. Union -members who attended a special general meeting state thai eontributions were refused in protest against the Industrial Coneilisrtion and Arbitration Act Ainendment Bill against the recent Arbitration Court wages pronouncement, and against no (Joncession to trade union requests for worker representation on the Price Tribunal and the GoVernment's failurc to invoke quotas for industry.
