STRIKERS MULITPLY
Received Thursday, 12.35 n.m. LONDON, Sept. 3. Nearly 40,000 miners in more than 35 South Yorkshire pits are on strike. rwenty-one pits are wholiy idle and the remainder are only partially working. Ahout 40,000 tons of coal are "being lost daily. Colliery after colliery stopped yesterday as the men came out in sympathy with the Grim thorpe miners.
