WEEKEND BOWLING

Members of the Otaki Railway Bowling Club indulged in enjoyable games at the weekend, and ajs the green was in excellent order fine play was witnessed. Games will be continued at intervals, and the club is looking forward to a very successful season. Tournaments will be held as usual, and already many leading players from Wellington have signified their intention of being present. The pavilion at the Paraparaumu Beach green is nearing completion and will be a decidqd acquisition. The club has made good progress since its formation. Workers . were present on the Otaki green on Saturday, and already players are so pleased with its fine appearance that they are hoping it will be opened earlier [than at first anticipated. This, ,'however; would not be wise, as the grass must have time to take root.
