PARAPARAUMU W.I. MEETS
The Paraparaumu Women's Institute held its August meeting in the Anglican Hall, presided over by Mrs. Hadfield. There was a good attendance. Owing to illness Miss Clarkson, the secretary, was unable to be present so Mrs. Caterer was acting secretary. In the golden thread series of talks Mrs.. Lee . gave an interesting and very amusing talk on grandmothers past and present. Miss Mackenzie, late of the Correspondence School, gave a delightful talk on a visit to Scotland, which was very much enjoyed by all. She was presented with a bouquet iji appreciation. The best flowef competition was won by Mrs.. Westen, with Mrs. Delahunty second. Afternoon tea was served and the meeting concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
