F. D. Chainey, P. A. Peterson, C. isherwood and H. L. Jenkins. [ The arrival of the buses conveying northern personnel created considerable interest in Levin, and a large crowd soon gathered at the bus stop in Bath Street. Few compiaints were forthcoming from men interviewed. The [food and leave arrangements were still in need of imgrovement, they stated, but conditions generally had improved considerably. Discipline was becoming much stri^ter, and would be stili further intensified with the arrival of fresh troops.
