BOXING TOURNAMENT
TWO STAR BQUTS ARRANGED One of the best programmes of amateur boxing ever arranged in Levin will be presented by Mhe Levin Bcxing Club on Saturday, August 30. Included on the programme will be seven district champions and five runners-up for district championships. There will be two star bouts, the first between R. Gilbert (runner-up in the lightheayy and heavyweight championiships for Wellington) and Rus Broughton (Wairarapa heavy1 weight champion) . The other will be between Syd Stevens (Manawatu lightweight champion) and Dick Elley (Wellington junior , lightweight champion). j An innovation will be the presen1 tation during the interval of a Samoan war dance, which will be given by four Samoan pupils of W. Hedberg's gymnasium.
