RIFLE ASSOCIATION MEETS
Twenty-two representatives of rifle clubs of the distriet attended the annual meeting of the- Horowhenua Assoeiation, held at Hautere recently. Mr. F. H. Monk presided. ■" Officers elected for the coming season were:— Patron: Mr. G. P. Cailey; president: Mr. F. H. Monk; vice-presidents : Messrs C. F. Atmore, H. B. Edhouse, J. Southgate, L. G. Taylor, W. Taylor, W. Morton, A.M. Colquhoun and L.A. Caldwell, Major-General R. Young and Capt. F. N. Fearnley; executlve: Messrs. A. K. Monk, J. Hooper, N. Best, C. Strom, C. Cobb, B. F. Monk, H. A. Lumsden, M. Fletcher, R. Catley, J. Horn and V. G. Hunter; secretary-treasurer: Mr. A. J. Brown (Waikanae) ; auditor: Mr, W. G. Hayward. It was resolved that extra targets be built to accommodate the number of competitors at the Easter Monday shoot.
