The first excitement in the second half came when Athletic were penalised for holding the ball and F. Grainger found himself with a clear run of 35 yards and sprlnted down the field to score beneath the posts. Galloway converted. Athletic 13, Shannon 3. As a fitting finish to a good game J. Lomas gathered the bail in as it bounced from a short kick, hesitated almost on top of the line, and ihen ran over to score. Galloway failed to convert. Athletic 16 Shannon 3.
