MR. PERRY DISPLACES #R. MULHOLLAND
WKLLINGTON, July 31. Mr. W. N. Perry, Cambridge, has been elected president of Federated Farmers of New. Zealand for 1947-48. jHe uefeatcd Mr. W. W. Mulhollaud, J Darfield, sitting president, in a ballot, the result of which was announced at the annual conference. Mr. Perry and Mr. Mulholland are at present on their way home to New Zealand after attending the lnternational Agricultural Conference at The Hague. Mr. Mulholland had been president of the New Zealand Farmers' Uniou since 1936 and president of its succes sor organisatiou, Federated Farmers, for oue year. Mr. Perry was one of the vicepresidents of Federated Farmers last year and was acting president during Mr. Mulholland-'s absence overseas. The conl'erenee re-elected Mr. II. F Blyde, Taranaki, as one of the two viee-presidents. Mr. John Andrew, Otago, was elected as the other. Mr. Blyde is ehairman of the dair^ section and Mr. Andrew ehairman of the m eat and wool section. Mr. J.M. Malier, M.P. for. Otaki, was re-elected unopposed as treasurer.
