ELECTION OF OFFICEES At the meeting 6 f the Paraparaumu Beach Bowlrng and Croquet Club, held last Friday night, the following were elected as officers for the coming season:— President: Mr. T. K. Henderson; vice-president: Mr. S. M. Stone; hon. secretary: Mr. A. V. Petherick; hon. treasurer: Mr. A. Hardham; committee: Messrs. H. Walton, E. A. A. Thorne; W. I. J. Blyth, T. G. Rickells, W. Scott and M. E. Wood; hon. auditor: Mr. A. T. White; delegate to Wellington Bowling Centre: Mr. E. A. A. Thorne; Umpires' Association: Messrs. T. G. Rickells and Barton Ginger; hon. solicitor: Mr. J. P. Bertram (Levin). Subscriptions for ordinary membei'S were increased by £1 ls and ladies by 10s 6d. The new pavilion is now nearing completion and will be a great impi'ovement to the amenities oi the club. The building, 64 feet in Iengih,- has been fltted with an entry porch and a large kitchen and servery at one end, and at the other with a ladies' room and committee room. The main room 40 by 20 feet is finished in match lining and Pinex wallboard above, and will be painted a light cream.
