WELLINGTON, July 15. Exemp.tion from berthage charges on Saturday morning unless work is performed is proposed bj ihe Wellington Harbour Board, The chairman, Mr. W. H. Pricej at a special meeting today, gave notice of his in.ention to move for an amendment to the by-laws ir this direction. The necessity of it is brought about by the issue of r recent award, which provides for a five-day forty-hour week. Mr. Price stated that the board's solicitors had expressed doubt a l to whether such an amendment constituted an increase in the charges within the provisions of. the stabilisation regulations, ane the Price Tribunal's approval might be necessary.
