ANGLICAN LADIES' GUILD
VISITORS ENTERTAINED At the invitation of the Anglican Laciies' Guild the ladies of the Presbyterian and Methodist guilds joined with them last week for a social afternoon. In all 45 persons were present including Rev. Coatsworth (Methodist.. minister) and .Rev. J. H. Datson (Church of England) . Hntroductions were made and the opportunity given>- for inf'brntal intercourse. Afternoon tea was handed around by a band of workers from the Anglican Guild, and music was provided by Mrs. J. Barnett, Junr., many joining in with community- singing. Miss June Roberts rendered delightful elocution numbers. Two social competitions were.^-won by Mrs. J. Newton, Senr, Arrangements were made for the holding of a shop day in Mrs. E. L. Hyde's Ballance Street shop on Friday, when all church members are asked to send along produce or saleable goods, new or second-hand.
