HEALTH INSPECTOR'S REPORT
The health and sanitation inspector, Mr. W. J. Guinan, presented his report for the penod April 1 to June.30 at the Shannon Borough Council's fortnightly meeting on Tuesday evening. The report was as follows: "Infectious diseases, nil; habitations, dwellings, etc., inspected, 3] requisitions served, 1. Food-selling premises visited num'oered five and one requisition served. Two plumbing and draining installations were inspected and two requisitions served. . Two samples of milk and two of water were taken. Inspections have been made at the domain regarding the repairs to the converiiences, at the night-soil site regarding improvements and at the rubbish dump. One person was warned for depositing old bones and meat near the rubbish dump, and the site has now been cleaned up. Complaints about a fowl and duck nuisance at Newtown have been attended to. . "The condition of the women's conveniences at the • Druids' Hall was found to be in a bad state, and has been cleaned up. This hall is getting into a bad state of repair, and if something is not done soon to put it in better* order the council may have to eonsider the question of withholding. . the license. The licensed hotels have. been inspected ' for annual licensing. Other detail matters have been attended to." The report, as read, was adopted by the council.
